Hello

At Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, we are committed to creating a worship experience where all feel welcomed, valued, and included.

To better support our deaf and hard-of-hearing members, we offer American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during our services. Our ASL ministry helps ensure that God’s Word, the message of hope, and the fellowship of our church family are accessible to everyone. We are grateful for the opportunity to worship together in a community rooted in understanding, connection, and the love of Christ.

About ASL

American Sign Language (ASL) is a complete, natural language that uses hand shapes, facial expressions, body movement, and visual cues to communicate. It has its own grammar, structure, and cultural richness, making it much more than just “gestures” or translations of spoken English. ASL connects the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, providing a vibrant, expressive way to share ideas, build relationships, and fully participate in worship, learning, and everyday life.
