Stephen Ministry

We are excited to share that 11 partners are committed to participating in our upcoming Stephen Ministry training, beginning Thursday, October 22, from 9:30–10:30 a.m. in the Narthex. It’s not too late to join the training! If you have gifts for caring, encouragement, and listening, please prayerfully consider becoming a Stephen Minister.

Stephen Ministers are trained lay caregivers who provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to people going through difficult times. They listen, encourage, pray, and offer a caring presence, meeting weekly with their care receiver as needed. They serve alongside our pastors but are not counselors or problem-solvers.

Stephen Ministry is available for those experiencing grief, illness, hospitalization, divorce, loneliness, relocation, unemployment, spiritual struggles, or other life challenges.

We currently have several female Stephen Ministers available. For more information, to request care, or to explore becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact Mandy Bellah at SOSstephenministry@gmail.com.
