AV & Digital Ministries

The "Digital Ministry Team" at Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, also called the AV & Digital Ministries, is a group of volunteers who handle the technical aspects of the church's services and online presence. Their responsibilities include operating audio, video, and presentation equipment during services, and they are actively seeking new volunteers to assist with tasks like sound, slides, and cameras. The team's work is crucial for both in-person and online worship experiences.

Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church partners with Surfside United Methodist Church to prepare & serve a FREE, hot lunch to the public every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome!

Bible Study

This is an in-person bible study led by Joan Rukavina and everyone is welcome to attend.

AA/12 Steps Meeting

​

The AA/12-Steps group meets in the Fellowship Hall twice a week.  Anyone dealing with an alcohol addiction is encouraged to attend.

Men's Bible Study

​

Hosted every Thursday by the Lutheran Men in Mission auxiliary, a light breakfast kicks off this bible study in the Conference Room at 7:30 a.m.  This group uses the 'Master Builders Bible' for Men as their study guide. All men are welcome to attend. There's no sign up... just show up!

Painting with Chuck

Started by the late Chuck Lehr, this small group meets every Friday in the Fellowship Hall for 'Painting with Chuck!' This is not an actual painting class, but rather a gathering of folks who like to share their joy of painting with others. Everyone is welcome, from beginner to expert, so grab your supplies and come spend some time relaxing! If you would like more information, please see George Ferment or Ken Rodgers, or stop by the church office. 

Digital Art Class!

A  Mixed Media Online Art Class in Zoom offers a non-competitive, step-by-step drawing method where self-expression and creativity can flourish. We’ll explore a wide variety of drawing styles and media.

Classes will be held in Zoom this summer for both teens and adults. Stay tuned for more information.

Crafty Angels of the Strand

​

The Crafty Angels of the Strand is an all-volunteer group that is devoted to making a difference in our community. We provide handmade items for warmth and comfort to local Veterans, Seniors, Cancer Patients, Hospice Patients, Meals on Wheels, Project Linus, McLeod Children's Hospital, Help4Kids, Backpack Buddies, Sea Haven For Youth, Hospitals, Homeless Shelters, Noah's Program, Nursing Homes, and the New Americans Program.
