SOS WELCA

Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

SOS WELCA  is a community of women created in the image of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are called to bring all women of the church into fellowship and ministry for our community.

* In 2024 we helped the food pantry with birthday bags, the hygiene ministry with personal care items, local middle and high schools with feminine hygiene products, Coastline Women's Center with "fill the crib" baby items and "baby bottle" donations of $1675.05 to help young parents facing untimely pregnancies. Family Justice Center was provided with over 20 "get-away bags" for women facing domestic abuse and the need to flee their homes.

* We learned about the Agape Love Box Ministry to help spread the love of Jesus for those who may be in need. We participated in quiet contemplation and meditation to prepare for Advent. 

These activities demonstrate the commitment of SOS WELCA to supporting women, children, and families in their community, reflecting their broader mission within the Women of the ELCA organization.
